Conforming Section 179 depreciation to federal law could soon be a reality for Minnesota farmers and business owners.

“The conformity of Section 179 has been included in Governor Dayton’s tax proposal, the House tax bill that passed last week, and was also included in the Senate tax bill.”
Under current law, Minnesota caps expensing at $25,000 even though the federal level is $1 million.
