Seed treatments “a must” for early planted soybeans

An agronomist urges farmers to use seed treatments when planting soybeans early.

“Seed treatments are important regardless of planting date, but if we are going to plant early it becomes an absolute must.”

He tells Brownfield early beans need protection from insect and disease threats.

“Everything from early season stand-reducing pests on the insect side, as well as some of those fungal pathogens that could be impacting us from germination up through emergence.
