Senate voting on river infrastructure funding, preparing for farm bill debate

The U.S. Senate plans to vote today on two issues important to agriculture.  First, Senators will vote on 2019 appropriations on a bill that includes funding for the Army Corps of Engineers and the lock and dam system on the Mississippi River and its tributaries.

As soon as that vote is done, Senators will hold a cloture vote on their farm bill, which would set the debate rules and prevent a filibuster.
