Missouri Senator Roy Blunt says he’s relieved about the positive outcome of the meeting between Presidents Trump and Xi, but he thinks China needs to clean up its act as a trading partner. Senator Blunt tells Brownfield he’s glad there’s no escalation in the trade dispute between China and the U.S. He says, however, the Chinese are the worst offenders in the world of what are normally understood ways of doing business.
“They steal our technology, they don’t fulfill their agreements under the WTO, and they don’t let American companies invest in China the same way they’d like to see Chinese companies invest everywhere else,” Blunt told Brownfield Ag News Monday.
