The average price for Show Me Select heifers continues to go up. The University of Missouri Extension says the average price at the fourth of six sales this fall was just a dollar shy of $21-hundred dollars per head. Show Me Select heifers are raised with protocols from University of Missouri Extension animal scientists. The main trait that attracted buyers was ease of calving. There are two more sales this month, in Farmington and Palmyra, of heifers bred to calve from January to April.
