A principal atmospheric scientist says he’s slightly concerned about wetter conditions in some areas of the Midwest during harvest.
Eric Snodgrass, also a senior fellow with Nutrien Ag Solutions, says the El Niño weather pattern took longer than anticipated.
“I was hoping for July, and it took an extra 30 days. Now El Nino is really starting to exert an influence and it’s going to become greater and greater in the fall.
