South Dakota Ag Dept. sets cutoff date for dicamba use

The South Dakota Department of Agriculture has set a June 30th

cutoff date for use of dicamba products. The state’s agriculture department

says it obtained EPA Special Local Needs labels for Engenia, Fexapan and

Xtendimax with VaporGrip Technology. Applicators can use the products until

soybeans reach the R1 growth stage, 45 days after planting or June 30,

whichever comes first.

Anyone applying dicamba products has to keep records. And applicators applying

or purchasing the products have to complete annual dicamba training.
