South Dakota corn is rated 61 percent good to excellent, but
development is behind with only 27 percent of the crop silking. That’s 50 percentage
points behind normal.
Half of South Dakota soybeans are good to excellent, but only 53 percent are
blooming and that’s 27 percentage points behind normal.
Winter wheat is 65 percent good to excellent and almost a quarter of the crop
is harvested, but it’s 40 percentage points behind normal.
