A South Dakota corn grower who sends much of his crop to nearby ethanol plants is praising President Biden’s announcement allowing summertime E15 use.
Scott Stahl tells Brownfield says the EPA’s restoration of an emergency waiver allowing E15 this summer is great news. “We know that biofuels and ethanol, in particular, have proven themselves time and time again to be good for the consumer, good for the environment, and very good for corn producers across the Midwest, so we’re very excited about this march forward and hopefully, ethanol will continue to gain momentum through this E15 announcement.”
Stahl says ethanol creates more than a local demand for corn.
