South Dakota corn harvest 68% complete

The South Dakota corn harvest is two-thirds of the way done.

The USDA says as of Sunday, 68 percent of the crop is
out.  That’s well behind last year’s 89
percent and the five-year average of 96 percent.

The harvest of sorghum, at 83 percent, and sunflowers, 60
percent, also trail the usual pace.

The winter wheat crop is rated 78 percent good to excellent.
