South Dakota corn is 70 percent good to excellent

South Dakota topsoil moisture is 73 adequate to surplus.  Corn’s in good shape at 70 percent good to excellent and was almost all planted as of Sunday.  Soybeans are 67 percent good to excellent, with 87 percent of the planting finished.  Winter wheat is 45 percent good to excellent, but only 30 percent is headed, which is well behind last year.

Sorghum planting is 70 percent planted, well ahead of normal.

South Dakota pastures are 49 percent good to excellent.
