Corn planting reached 66 percent as of Sunday in South Dakota, well behind last year and the average.
Soybean planting in South Dakota is 24 percent complete, way behind last year and the average. Emergence is only two-percent.
Winter wheat condition is about 90 percent fair to good. But emergence is slow, only 63 percent of winter wheat has emerged. Sorghum planting at 28 percent and Sunflower planting at 13 percent are both ahead of last year and their respective averages.
