South Dakota granted third disaster declaration for weather damage

President Trump approved South Dakota’s request for a third

Presidential Disaster Declaration to cover damage from severe storms,

tornadoes, and flooding that occurred mostly in July.

The declaration allows federal money to be used for infrastructure damage

recovery in several West River and East River counties as well as the Cheyenne

River and the Lower Brule Indian Reservations. Weather damage in that

three-week stretch is estimated at $2.5 million.
