The director of agriculture in Missouri says South Korea’s agreement to open its market to more U.S. rice is good news for Bootheel farmers.
“The amount of purchases that they’re going to be making is
equal to 5.5 pounds of rice per person in South Korea. So, that’s big news for
our rice growers.”
Chris Chinn tells Brownfield it’s especially good news since
U.S. rice is NOT included in the trade deal with Japan.
