Indiana Farmer Mike Beard says his soybean yields are better than he expected
after the wet spring and dry summer.
“From my
expectations last June, these soybeans are a lot better than I expected but
they’re not going to set any records and will probably miss average,” he says. “I
was shooting for about 60 percent of average and I think they’re going to be
80+ percent of my average.”
He tells
Brownfield he hasn’t started harvesting corn yet, but the crop is looking below
average.
