Soybeans were lower on fund and technical selling, with July closing just above last month’s lows. The trade continues to monitor any movement in trade discussions between the U.S. and China. Many forecasts have light to moderate rain in much of the Midwest over the next week. The crop is generally in good shape, but it’s early, and parts of the region will need rain. Soybean meal and oil followed beans lower. According to wire reports, China’s province of Henan will increase soybean acreage, likely in response to the trade tensions with the U.S.
