Soybeans, grains supported by continued China trade talks

Soybeans were higher Monday. Friday’s March 1 soybean stocks

estimate was in line with expectations but showed plenty of soybeans. Acreage

was less than expected. Trade talks with China resume later this week, but

China continues to buy U.S. beans. The USDA says they purchased 828,000 metric

tons Monday. That’s added to Friday’s sale of 816,000 metric tons, both for delivery

this marketing year.

Corn was higher Monday coming off Friday’s price drop resulting from the high

acreage number and higher-than-expected corn stocks number.
