Soybeans were mostly fractionally higher, mostly unable to follow through on the early strength. Contracts were up sharply at the open as weekly export sales were larger than expected, including big new crop sales to “unknown”, and the European Union could be buying more U.S. beans soon. However, actual physical shipments have been slow and there are a lot of unknowns about that potential trade deal. The U.S. crop is in good shape overall, but some areas need rain.
