Soybeans were modestly higher on commercial and technical buying in low trade volume. Mexico bought 671,934 tons of 2017/18 U.S. beans and a warmer, drier weather pattern in Brazil is expected to slow down planting. According to wire reports, a Brazilian consultant has increased its 2018/19 production projection to 122 million tons, citing favorable weather outlooks. Questions continue about acreage in Argentina and both Argentina and Brazil are expected to buy more U.S.
