Soybeans, wheat up ahead of brief Christmas break

Soybeans were modestly higher on short covering and technical buying. There’s continued optimism about phase one of the trade deal with China, which could be signed in the coming weeks. China has been buying U.S. beans recently, but the reported amounts have been routine.
