Soybeans were modestly lower on profit taking and technical selling, unable to follow through on the initial post report gains. The USDA says U.S. soybean acreage was down 1% on the year, but up from March and topping corn for only the second time on record, at least for now, while quarterly stocks were 26% higher. A few U.S. acres have yet to be planted and recent flooding may lead to some replanting.
