For some Minnesota farmers, the weather has gone from bad
to worse.
Chad Willis of Willmar says wet, cool conditions have prevented him from starting spring fieldwork.
“It’s kind of hard to sit here and wait. Wednesday we had an inch and 3/10’s of rain and snow. As we speak this morning, there’s still some snow out in the fields that I can see. And it has been so cold it’s just not been conducive to plant even if conditions did get ready to go in the field.”
He tells Brownfield moisture has been spotty across west-central Minnesota.
