Discussions on trade issues were prominent at the recent annual meeting of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) in Connecticut.
One of the attendees, Iowa ag secretary Mike Naig, says there is a growing sense of urgency to get trade issues resolved.
“Folks really do want to see, and we need to see, some progress—and bring some certainty back to our marketplace,” Naig says.
Finalizing a new NAFTA deal would help, he says.
