Stress levels continue to rise on many farms across the U.S.

University of Minnesota Extension Rural Stress Task Force executive director Emily Wilmes says she and colleagues in other states are seeing an increase in calls to rural stress hotlines.

“And people asking for resources, and communities wanting workshops, and conversations about this. So it is a huge concern.”

She tells Brownfield it’s unlikely these problems go away anytime soon, even if the markets improve.
