When it comes to your grocery bill – it’s likely that proteins like ground beef take up the largest portion of it.

One way to stretch the dollars you’re spending on protein is to buy products like ground beef, pork, chicken, or turkey in bulk.  Because they are typically significantly cheaper in larger quantities. Here’s an example – a 10-pound package of 80/20 ground chuck currently averages around $4.89 per pound.  Buying an individual pound of 80/20 ground chuck is running about $7 per pound.
