The USDA reports corn, soybean meal, and wheat export sales for the week ending September 20th topped most pre-report expectations, while soybeans and soybean oil were within analysts’ estimates. Physical shipments were bullish for corn, but bearish on soybeans and wheat. The 2018/19 marketing year got underway June 1st for wheat, September 1st for beans, corn, and sorghum, and starts October 1st for soybean products.
Wheat came out at 657,100 tons (24.1 million bushels), up 40% from the week ending September 13th and 59% higher than the four-week average.
