At the Chicago
Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle futures ended the day higher ahead
of Friday’s Cattle on Feed report with support from higher cash trade and
supportive wholesale values. The Cattle
on Feed numbers looked mostly neutral to bearish. December live cattle closed $1.35 higher at
$115.07 and February lean hogs closed $1.02 higher at $121.07. November feeder cattle closed $1.20 higher at
$145.37 and January feeder cattle closed $1.02 higher at $141.60.
The week ended with a light round of direct cash cattle trade in parts of Kansas and Nebraska at $110 live.
