Missouri Farm Bureau members are learning more about tax policy as they meet with lawmakers in Washington D.C. this week.
Central Missouri farmer Andy Clay says his family is concerned about estate tax issues as they start making farm transitions. “We have to keep these better for family organizations to be able to continue the family farming tradition where they don’t tax us out of business,” he says.
Southeast Missouri farmer Brian Koenig says he met with Missouri Congressman and House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith to discuss the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which expires at the end of 2025.
