
Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of below-normal temperatures in California, the Desert Southwest, and most areas from the Mississippi River eastward, while warmer-than-normal weather will be confined to the Rockies and High Plains.
Meanwhile, near- or below precipitation in the Midwest, Ohio Valley, and much of the Southeast should contrast with wetter-than-normal conditions in New England, the western Gulf Coast region, and from the Pacific Coast to the High Plains.
