Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of below-normal temperatures across much of the eastern half of the U.S., while warmer-than-normal weather will prevail from the Pacific Coast to the High Plains.
Meanwhile, below-normal precipitation across most of the southern and eastern U.S. should contrast with wetter-than-normal conditions in southern Florida and from the Pacific Coast (excluding southern California) to the northwestern half of the Plains and upper Midwest.
