Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or above-normal temperatures and precipitation across most of the country.  Cooler-than-normal conditions will be confined to northern parts of the Rockies and Plains.

Meanwhile, drier-than-normal weather should be limited to portions of the Pacific Coast States (from northern California to western Washington) and southern sections of the Rockies and High Plains.
