Warm temperatures and decent rainfall is helping pastures and fields green up in Tennessee.
Corn is 2% planted. Winter wheat is 38% jointed, 1% headed, and rated 72% good to excellent.
Pastures are 40% good to excellent. Apples are 12% blooming.
Some counties in the western part of the state remain abnormally dry. But, topsoil and subsoil moisture are 90 percent adequate to surplus.
