Tennessee crops improve following widespread rain

Widespread rainfall helped improve soil moisture and revitalized drought-stressed crops. 

Corn is rated 73% good to excellent with 18% silking.  Soybeans are rated 70% good to excellent with 92% planted, 83% of the crop emerged, and 24% blooming.  Cotton is rated 75% good to excellent with 33% squaring and 6% setting bolls. 

Winter wheat harvest is 71% complete with 84% rated good to excellent.  Pasture conditions made a significant jump to 56% rated good to excellent.
