Tennessee farmers have 98% corn, 93% soybeans harvested

Harvest is nearing completion Tennessee farmers.

Corn is 98%, cotton is 95%, and soybeans are 93% harvested.

Drought conditions are intensifying, and pasture conditions continue to decline with just 9% rated good to excellent.  Producers are feeding hay and are concerned about hay supplies heading into winter. 

Winter wheat is 88% planted and 65% emerged.  The crop is 58% good to excellent.

The entire state is under dry or drought conditions.   

Topsoil and subsoil are 36% adequate.
