Tensions high with late harvest

A field crops educator is reminding farmers to use weather breaks to reduce stress during harvest.

Monica Jean with Michigan State University Extension says she’s concerned about how rain delays are impacting farmers.

“It’s a huge crunch time,” she shares.  “We’re getting late and the weather is not quite cooperating. Remember to breathe, maybe go do something fun instead with your family if you can’t do anything else. And just try to find the positive—it can be really hard.”

She says MSU has a telehealth program to help those who need support.
