The FEEDD Act

A bill that would allow for early haying and grazing of cover crops on prevent plant ground has been introduced in the U.S. House. The Feed Emergency Enhancement During Disasters–or FEEDD Act would create an emergency waiver authority for Ag Secretary Perdue to move the timeline for harvesting a prevent plant cover from November first to September first. Ashley Kohls with the Minnesota State Cattlemen’s Association says this legislation is badly needed.
