Biofuel supporters are still pursuing a long-term fix for year-round E15 sales.
The U.S. EPA issued an emergency waiver last month allowing sales of the fuel during the 2024 summer driving season, but U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa says stop gap authorizations need to end.
He tells Brownfield his Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act would permanently grant year-round sales of ethanol blends higher than 10%. “There may be other bills to do the same thing,” Grassley said.
