Today, NPPD vice president and chief operating officer Tom Kent talks about the importance of having a diverse electrical generation mix, which helps protect against price spikes and supply constraints. He also discusses efforts to reduce NPPD’s carbon footprint and points out that, in 2018, NPPD’s generation mix was 56 percent carbon-free—one of the cleanest in the region.
