Three Minnesota cooperatives will merge later this year.
Members of Farmers Cooperative Association of Canby, Lyon
County Farm Service of Ghent, and Prairie Pride Cooperative of Marshall voted in

Prairie Pride general manager Emmett Thomsen says the move protects

employees.
He adds the merger has been in the works for nearly two years, and the yet-to-be-named new cooperative will begin operations August 1st.
