Tile allows Illinois farmer to finish corn planting

Aaron Phipps farms in Chrisman, Illinois near the Indiana border and says his planting success was not the result of favorable weather. “A lot of the fields I was putting corn in this year have been pattern tiled for seven to nine years and that made a huge difference this year.” Phipps tells Brownfield the tile was a big financial decision, but this year it paid off by drying fields over the wet winter.
