The CEO of the Minnesota Pork Producers is reminding pig farmers affected by trade disputes to know their inventory as of August first.
David Preisler says the Farm Service Agency will be conducting spot checks.
“That includes all classes, so whether it’s finishing pigs, nursery, even down to pigs that are still in the sow, bring that number into their FSA office. They’ll also have some other forms that they’ll need to fill out to certify pieces around adjusted gross income and also payment limitations.”
He tells Brownfield participation in the market facilitation program should be relatively easy.
