President Trump’s biofuels proposal includes a boost from the USDA.
Brian Thalmann, a farmer from Plato, tells Brownfield the proposed rule directs the Department of Ag to look for additional opportunities to facilitate higher ethanol blends.
“That’s also going to be a benefit for the ethanol industry if we can get additional money allocated, whether it be grants, loans, or whatever the case may be, to help wholesalers and fuel retailers do what it takes to have more E15 available to the consumer.”
He says the low-hanging fruit would be to equip newer fueling stations with E15 capabilities.
