President Trump is dangling the threat of more tariffs on Chinese goods as U.S. groups warn him not to. A letter from the National Retailers Federation and more than 100 other groups says escalating a “tit-for-tat” trade war with China would only increase the harm to more U.S. economic interests including farmers, families, businesses and workers.
The groups say they support the administration’s efforts to deal with the longstanding issues in China that have negatively impacted many U.S.
