President Trump told Iowa farmers he’s close to making a biofuels announcement. “I’m very close, I have to tell you, to pulling off something that you’ve been looking forward to for many years, and that’s the twelve-month E15 waiver.”
Trump says the waiver to allow E15 fuel sales year-round is a very complex process. Iowa Renewable Fuels Association Executive Director Monte Shaw says he’s concerned that “complex process” means the E15 waiver might be tied to other “anti-biofuels provisions.”
