The U.S. Trade Representative is he preparing to follow through with increasing tariffs on Chinese goods.
USTR General Counsel Stephen Vaughn told reporters China continues to treat the U.S. unfairly. “The President has asked us to look into whether or not we may need to cover a comparable percentage of Chinese imports in order to get them to change their behavior.”
Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer says the administration has been clear about the changes China should undertake, but says they have illegally retaliated against U.S.
