President Trump, in a tweet over the weekend, said the U.S. is making “great progress” in trade negotiations with Japan, adding that “agriculture and beef (are) heavily in play” in those talks. But Trump also indicated that he will not press Tokyo for a bilateral trade deal until after that country’s elections in July. Trump was in Japan for meetings with Japanese Prime Minister Abe.
