President Trump sounded upbeat Tuesday when asked about U.S.-China trade negotiations.
“We’re in the final throes of a very important deal. I guess
you could say one of the most important deals in trade ever,” Trump said. “It’s
going very well.”
Trump said he is watching the situation in Hong Kong but
declined to say if he would sign a Hong Kong human rights bill that was approved
by Congress. Some view it as a possible sticking point in the negotiations.
