U.S. Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue says President Trump is taking personal interest in the House Ag Committee’s draft farm bill.
The President met with House Ag Chairman Mike Conaway and Senate Ag Chairman Pat Roberts Thursday to discuss progress on the legislation.
Democrats oppose the SNAP work requirements in the House version and have said the Farm Bill is unfixable. Perdue says that opposition is not a good thing.
