Tyson Foods says it will prohibit the use of ractopamine in the market hogs it buys from farmers beginning in February 2020. In a statement released Thursday, Tyson says they are making the move to help meet growing global demand for pork.
Ractopamine is not allowed in some countries
that are potential export markets for the U.S. including China
