U.S. and Chinese trade negotiators are scheduled to resume talks today in Washington.
This week’s deputy-level talks are expected to set the stage
for higher-level trade negotiations in early October.
Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue, in a speech at the United Fresh Produce
Conference in Washington, commented on the resumption of those talks.
“It’s good news that China’s coming back to town, that we’re
continuing to talk about that,” Perdue said.
